First, Dr. Chung will talk with you about your tooth replacement desires, dental history, and medical history. Next, he will conduct a comprehensive examination and take radiographic images using our 3D-CBCT scanner.
This is a three-dimensional cone beam CT scanner that rotates around your head, producing up to 600 images for complete imaging of your mouth and jaw. 3D-CBCT is the new gold standard for presurgical dental implant site imaging. Our scanner uses about 95% less radiation than conventional CT machines found in hospitals.
Dental implants are surgically secured into the bone of your jaw. Next is a period of osseointegration, where the titanium implants fuse with your bone. Osseointegration is what makes dental implants so secure and stable. Finally, Dr. Chung will add custom crowns to the tops of your implants, providing you with amazing new teeth.
